This January 27 - 29th weekend, our U13A Locicero Teams traveled to our Nation’s capital for the NGHA's 41st Annual DIFD Paint it Purple Tournament.
From the first game, the team came on strong winning battles to finish second in their loop after a hard fought loss of 2-1 to the North Bay Ice Boltz. The team was determined moving into the semi-finals, coming out focused to beat Ancaster 2-1 with an incredible overtime goal in 3 on 3 action. Our MGHL Hurricanes were able to find their redemption to the round robin facing a great North Bay team in the finals. Going right down to the last seconds with a faceoff in the defensive zone on a 4 vs. 6, North Bay pulled their goalie, and with that man advantage, Mississauga demonstrated intensity in winning the battle and coming home with GOLD!!!
