MGHL Player Development

The establishment of the development program within the MGHL is designed to ensure players not only reach their full potential, but become actively involved in their community and are active for life. Members of the Mississauga Girls Hockey League will be provided with rich development opportunities off and on the ice that empower them to achieve their goals and become valued members in their community.

House League Program

The main focus of the house league program within the MGHL is to establish foundational movement skills and technical skills that apply to the game of hockey. MGHL is committed to providing development opportunities for girls to join and love the game of hockey.

Rep Program

The MGHL representative program allows players to have access to opportunities to develop on and off the ice. The following rep program highlights are standardized components that allow players to reach their full potential within a safe, inclusive and structured environment. Each component within our pathway focuses on skills/tactics, increased awareness and knowledge of mental performance and appropriate nutrition for performance. Embedded within our programs are opportunities for players to receive constructive feedback to allow them the opportunity to progress within the pathway.
