Teddy Bear Toss: A Tradition of Joy
Written by: Coach Bobby Floujeh

The Mississauga Hurricanes U9B continue to be strong advocates in the community. During their recent home game against Leaside Wildcats, the girls participated in a Teddy Bear Toss event that truly reflected the spirit of the game. Both teams worked together, with players from each side contributing teddy bears that were tossed onto the ice in support of a great cause.

All collected teddy bears were donated to Diabetes Canada. If you would like to further support their work, click HERE to donate.

Hockey is about far more than what happens on the ice, and these young girls proved that in a powerful way. They competed hard against one another in a fast, physical, and spirited game. When the final buzzer sounded, both teams came together in harmony, having fun, being kids, and giving back to their community. Their efforts will help ensure that children less fortunate will have a toy to open this Christmas.

A special thank you to Diabetes Canada, our parent volunteers, Iceland for hosting the event, the Leaside Wildcats U9B, and the MGHL for helping make this moment possible.
