U18A (SUMMERS) WINS GOLD AT WINTER CLASSIC
Our U18A Summers team had
an amazing weekend on our home rinks at the Winter Classic, coming out of the
round robin in first place, winning their semi-final in a hard fought game and
meeting the Waterloo Ravens in the final on Sunday afternoon to win gold!
Their
overall tournament record was 5-0-1 and our superhuman goaltenders had three
shutouts in six games and only three goals against for the weekend! And those
impressive results came with only 8 minutes of penalties across six games!
Big
thanks to head coach Jay Summers and assistant coaches Steve Hayes, Chris
Douridas and Martin Schwertner. And congratulations to the team for their
dedication and perseverance this week and every week!
