JULIE ALLEN
|
A native of Brampton, Ontario, Julie played NCAA Division I hockey at the University of New Hampshire from 2008-2011. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from UNH in 2011. After college, Julie continued her playing career in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL) with the Toronto Furies from 2013-2019. Julie was a member of the 2014 roster that led the Furies to a Clarkson Cup Championship. During the 2020-2021 season, Julie was a member of the Toronto Six of the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL).
In addition to her playing career, Julie boasts an extensive background in coaching and skill development. Julie has coached five seasons as both an assistant and head coach at the U15AA and U22 Elite level. Over the past decade, Julie's primary focus has been on-ice skill development. It's always rewarding to see the impact of one's efforts on the progress and growth of others, helping them develop the skills and abilities necessary to succeed at higher levels of competition. Some of Julie's former players that she has worked with have been part of Junior, Team Ontario, NCAA and U Sport programs and continue to find success in their hockey careers.

It's hard to believe I have been coaching for almost 30 years. I combine my background as an educator and trained chiropractor to offer a unique approach. By analyzing functional movement and motor learning patterns, I create tailored plans that support both individual and group success. Using age-appropriate instructional methods, I help players build confidence and advance to the next level.
Coaching is my passion, and I feel most at home on the ice. My mission is to inspire others to enjoy movement, embrace new challenges, and experience the lifelong benefits of sport.

- NCCP Professional Skating Coach
- OHF 3rd Party Instructor
- Former competitive figure skater with gold tests in four disciplines
- Expertise in clinical rehabilitation and functional movement (Trained Chiropractor and Kinesiology)
- K-10 Educator
