KELLI AQUINO, LEAD INSTRUCTOR, U7 PROGRAM

My name is Kelli Aquino owner of Everything Hockey Skills. I started my hockey journey around 4 in Erindale Timbits and I am a MGHL alumnus as I played AA with Mississauga from age 9 to the end of my competitive career at 17. Unfortunately my hockey career ended Graduation year due to multiple concussions that affected furthering my competitive hockey path. This blessing in disguise showed me an alternate way to continue my involvement in hockey by sharing my passion through teaching and guiding the next generation hockey players. I have been involved in developmental instruction for 10 years and have been assistant coach to all levels from house league to AA for 6 years. EHS’s mission is to inspire, encourage, train, mentor and facilitate excellence for player and coach development in a safe, inclusive, and confident environment. We strive off the growth of our clients and playing our part in helping foster their love for this amazing game.

EHS works with a range of players with different skill levels and ages with involvement in Mississauga, Oakville and Brampton. We hope to continue sharing our love for the sport wherever our skates and pucks take us.

A native of Brampton, Ontario, Julie played NCAA Division I hockey at the University of New Hampshire from 2008-2011. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from UNH in 2011. After college, Julie continued her playing career in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL) with the Toronto Furies from 2013-2019. Julie was a member of the 2014 roster that led the Furies to a Clarkson Cup Championship. During the 2020-2021 season, Julie was a member of the Toronto Six of the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL).

In addition to her playing career, Julie boasts an extensive background in coaching and skill development. Julie has coached five seasons as both an assistant and head coach at the U15AA and U22 Elite level. Over the past decade, Julie's primary focus has been on-ice skill development. It's always rewarding to see the impact of one's efforts on the progress and growth of others, helping them develop the skills and abilities necessary to succeed at higher levels of competition. Some of Julie's former players that she has worked with have been part of Junior, Team Ontario, NCAA and U Sport programs and continue to find success in their hockey careers.
