Our MGHL AA Winter Showcase Tournament welcomed 44 elite teams to Iceland Arena and the CAA Centre this past weekend!
Our U15AA J. Allen Hurricanes put on a commanding performance this past weekend, storming through our elite home tournament with an impressive 5-0-1 overall record. Our ‘Canes wasted no time making their presence felt in round robin play, opening with a decisive 7-1 victory over the Ayr Rockets before battling the Kitchener Lady Rangers to a tightly contested 1-1 draw. The storm only strengthened from there, as our Mississauga team grounded the Bluewater Hawks 3-0 and subdued the Belleville Bearcats 2-0, finishing round robin action first in their pool. Carrying that momentum into the playoffs, our Hurricanes delivered a dominant semi final performance, burying the Ancaster Avalanche under sustained pressure in a 4-0 shutout win. In the championship final, our Hurricanes reached peak intensity, racing past the Cambridge Road Runners for a 6-1 victory to secure the GOLD medal! Congratulations to our U15AA J. Allen Hurricanes!
