From November 15-17, our U15HL White Icebreakers took to North Halton for their annual Fall Classic Tournament.
Our Mississauga Hurricanes Icebreakers came out of the round robin with a 2-1-0 record, placing second in points. The team started strong with a 4-0 victory over the North Halton Twisters, and another 4-1 win against another North Halton Twisters team. Our Hurricanes next matchup versus the Lambton Attack ended in a 0-2 loss, but this only stirred up our team more. In a semi-final rematch against the Lambton Attack, our ladies put on a defensive clinic and held the Attack to only one goal, winning 2-1, and booking their place in the finals. The championship game saw our Hurricanes face a strong Burlington Barracudas team. Our Hurricanes held the game scoreless over a period and a half but couldn't overcome the Barracudas defensive line with a final score of 0-2, staking claim to the SILVER medal!
