Our Mississauga Hurricanes brought the storm to Detroit, Michigan during the Girls Motown Cup Tournament Series from November 8 - 10.
With an overall record of 3-2-0, our U18B LeMoine Hurricanes showed grit and determination, battling through the competition and finishing 2nd in their pool during round-robin play. Our Mississauga team started the series with a commanding 4-1 victory over the Georgina Golden Hawks. Despite a 2-4 loss to the Orangeville Tigers BB in their second game, the team bounced back with a stellar 3-1 win over the Naperville Sabres, followed by an intense 3-2 triumph over Belle Tire to secure a spot in the championship. In the finals, our U18B LeMoine Hurricanes faced a rematch with the Orangeville Tigers BB. While they put forth a spirited effort, the Tigers proved formidable, and our Hurricanes fell 1-5, earning a well-deserved SILVER medal finish.
Coaches note that the team’s performance was such a great effort to apply practiced principles of game play and that they demonstrated awesome physical and mental resilience throughout!
