Our U11B Khan Team rocked it like a Hurricane this weekend at the Waterloo Fall Challenge Cup from November 1 - 3.
Our Hurricanes were undefeated, with a record of 2-0-2 in round robin play, due to a gritty last minute tie with the goalie pulled in the final seconds of play during their first game. Their offense was strong, scoring an impressive 26 goals in four games. Their solid defensive play and goaltending allowed only 8 goals in, and included a solid shut out, leading them to place second overall. In the finals, they faced the first place Kitchener Lady Rangers. The girls' determination, perseverance and energy allowed them to win the championship game in another shutout, 2-0, bringing home that gorgeous GOLD and the Championship Banner!
