Hurricane Alert! U15A Coreschi Captures GOLD at the Girls Motown Cup Tournament Series!
This past weekend our U15A Coreschi Team headed across the border to Detroit, Michigan for the Girls Motown Tournament Series.
Our Hurricanes came together, working hard throughout the tournament, while having a great time during their trip. Our U15A Coreschi team was ready to battle on the ice against several US-based teams, achieving a 3-0-0 undefeated round robin record to finish first in their pool. Superb goaltending from Hanna N. helped result in two shutouts in a 3-0 game versus the Chesterfield Missouri Lady Falcons and a 14-0 win over the Alabama Chargers! Our ‘Canes were as unstoppable as a gale force wind during this tourney, overcoming a 6 on 3 at game’s end against the Indiana Elite, and capturing a 2-1 win. Continuing the solid goaltending, Francesca M. kept the team in both their games versus Indiana, including facing 20 shots in the championship game! In the finals, our Mississauga Hurricanes were a storm, sweeping over the Indiana Elite, to secure a 5-2 victory for that glorious GOLD Medal!
