Our U18BB Dellio Hurricanes descended upon the City of Champions, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this past October 20th - 22nd for the Three Rivers Cup Tournament, and what a weekend it was!
The journey began with the team bonding on the bus ride across the border, where our Hurricanes created memories that are sure to last a lifetime. This was an exciting tournament, filled with challenging hockey; our U18BB Dellio Team displayed incredible skill and determination, leaving it all on the ice in facing off against some tough competition ranging from U18BB to U19AA teams. Heading into the semi-finals, our Hurricanes went full force, quelling the U18BB North York Storm in a 7-2 win, and solidifying their place in the finals. Moving into the championship game, our Mississauga Hurricanes did not let up against the piercing sting of the U19AA Armstrong Arrows; but despite fighting hard, an empty netter resulted in a 3-0 win for the Arrows, with our U18BB Dellio Team emerging as finalists to snatch that stunning SILVER Medal!
The coaching staff couldn't be prouder; we saw amazing saves and passes, jaw-dropping goals, and most importantly, an unforgettable team bonding experience. Here's to our incredible players and families, their camaraderie, and their unwavering spirit!
