Hurricane Alert! U13A Dalzell Captures SILVER at the Clarington Flames Applefest Tournament!
Our U13A Dalzell Team was ready to hit the ice this past October 13-15th weekend for the Clarington Flames Applefest Tournament.
With a solid 3-1-0 round robin record, our Mississauga Hurricanes were third overall in points heading into the playoffs. U13A Dalzell kept their cool and clinched a tight 3-2 win over the Peterborough Ice Kats with exciting end to end action in the semi-finals. The championship game saw our Hurricanes face off for a second time in the tournament against the Nepean Wildcats, who were ready to pounce, and managed a 3-0 shutout, securing that stunning SILVER for our U13A Hurricanes.
The girls played hard during this tournament, with timely goaltending in each game, solid defence, relentless forechecking / balanced scoring up front, great passing and exceptional teamwork all across the ice. Hard work pays off, Hurricanes; great job!
