This past Sunday, September 18th, our U13A MGHL Hurricanes conquered the 5KM, 19 obstacle, MUDGIRL race, raising funds for cancer research!
This was an excellent team building event with moms and daughters heading to Albion Hills Conservation Area to participate in the race. The objective for our U13A Hurricanes was to work as a team and leave no one behind. These amazing women completed the race with a time of 1 hour and 15 minutes! Go Hurricanes Go!!
Now in its fourth year, the MUDGIRL Obstacle Race is dedicated to supporting research for women’s cancers through its fundraising efforts. This year, proceeds will go to three international foundations: Fondation du Cancer du sein du Québec (Canada); Breast Cancer Research Foundation (United States); Fondation pour la Researche sur le Cancer (France).
A big congratulations goes out to Head Coach, Deandra Locicero, Assistant Coaches, Amy, Doug and Lindsay, Event Planner / Shirt Designer, Sam, as well as all of the U13A athletes and their wonderful moms for completing this worthy challenge and representing the MGHL!
