2021-22 Covid-19 Vaccination Policy Update
As many of you are aware, on September 1st the provincial government announced that mandatory Covid-19 vaccinations will be required for Ontarians to access indoor “facilities used for sports and fitness activities and personal fitness training, such as gyms, fitness and recreational facilities with the exception of youth recreational sport”.

In light of this development and of various trends, the OWHA’s Board of Directors have announced that as a condition of participation in the OWHA, players and other participants who were born before 2010 be fully vaccinated as soon as possible and by no later October 17, 2021.

The MGHL appreciates there will still be many questions on how this vaccination policy will work. We expect to be able to provide further clarification and details of the MGHL's Covid-19 Vaccine Policy following the OWHA Associations' Member call on Wednesday, September 8th.

We remain committed to the health and safety of our athletes, and strongly encourage all players, coaches, and volunteers who are eligible to get vaccinated. If you are not yet vaccinated, the time frame to be fully vaccinated by the OWHA deadline is tight (2 doses separated by a 14-day waiting period, plus an additional 14 days after the second vaccination)
