Hurricane Alert! U13AA Locicero Takes BRONZE at the OWHA Provincial Championships!
During the April 12th - 14th weekend our U13AA Locicero Team participated in the 2023-24 Season OWHA Provincial Championships.
Our U13AA Locicero Team had an amazing weekend at Provincials. It was an incredible tournament performance by the girls, with a second overall seeding after round robin, and overall tournament record of 5-1-0, including three huge shutouts against the Brampton Canadettes (6-0), Bluewater Hawks (3-0) and a quarter final 1-0 win for the ages that went to a thrilling TRIPLE OT against the Markham-Stouffville Stars! The excitement continued into the final Sunday game, where the girl's unwavering hard work and determination resulted in an amazing OT Bronze Medal 2-1 victory over the Peterborough Ice Kats to top it all off for our Mississauga Hurricanes!
The Coaches, Trainers and all the Hurricane families are so proud of this group of hockey players that really came together as a team, played some of their best hockey of the year and did not waiver once in the face of adversity. An incredible experience to cap off a great year!
