Our MGHL AA Winter Showcase Tournament welcomed 40 elite teams to Iceland Arena this past weekend!
Highlights from our MGHL Hurricanes include two semi final battles and an undefeated team:
Our U13AA Neto Team went into the semi finals after achieving 3-1-0 with two shutouts in the round robin, coming in second overall in points in their pool of six teams. The Hurricanes played hard, but the Durham West Lightning advanced to the finals after a 3-0 game.
The U15AA Cosmo Team also came in second overall out of six teams in points during round robin play with a record of 3-1-0. Moving into the semi finals, the North York Storm edged out our Hurricanes with a final score of 3-1.
During round robin play, our U18AA Kourounis Team came in third overall in points, and were just shy of reaching the semis after tiebreakers with a 4-0-0 record. Overall, the team finished up the tournament with an impressive five wins with two shutouts!
